9月21日（日）、ヒルトン東京で「ユースサミット 2025」が開催されました。会場には、予選を勝ち抜いた7チームが集まり、社会課題に挑む多彩なアイデアを発表しました。

ユースサミットは、高校生、大学生など、若い世代が社会問題に向き合い、解決策を考え、実現可能なプランを競い合うコンテストです。5月のキックオフから約4か月間、各分野のメンターのサポートを受けながら準備を重ね、8月の予選会を経て、7チームがこの日の舞台に立ちました。

当日は、昭和女子大学総長の坂東眞理子さん、ヒルトン東京ホテルマネージャーのトーン・エンバースさん、ソーシャル・イノベーション・パートナーズ代表理事兼CEOの鈴木栄さん、ハンズオン東京代表理事のケン・チャン、理事の比嘉文が審査員を務めました。インスピレーショントークには、シブヤスタートアップス株式会社会長の渡部志保さんが登壇し、「一歩を踏み出す勇気が未来を変える」という力強いメッセージを届けてくださいました。

審査の結果、最優秀賞は「A to More!」が受賞。英語学習を通じて脳の活性化と認知症予防を目指す、ユニークで実践的なアイデアが高く評価されました。また、オーディエンス・チョイス賞には「Peace Packs」が選ばれました。生理用品を必要とする女性に支援パックを届けるという取り組みが、多くの来場者の共感を集めました。

イベントの後にはネットワーキングの時間も設けられ、学生、NPO・企業関係者、ボランティアなど、ユースサミットに関わった多くの方々が世代や立場を超えて交流しました。

ユースサミットは、若い世代が自分の想いを形にし、社会に新しい風を吹き込むための第一歩です。ハンズオン東京は、こうした挑戦がより良い社会をつくる力となるよう、これからも応援を続けていきます。

On Sunday, September 21, the “Youth Summit 2025” was held at Hilton Tokyo. Seven teams that advanced through the preliminary round gathered to present their diverse and inspiring ideas to tackle various social issues.

The Youth Summit is a contest that encourages high school and university students to tackle social issues and create practical, innovative solutions. From the kickoff in May, each team worked for about four months on their projects, supported by mentors from diverse professional backgrounds. After the preliminary round in August, seven teams earned their place on the Youth Summit 2025 stage.

At the Youth Summit 2025, the judges included Mariko Bando, Chancellor, Showa Women’s University; Teun Engbers, Hotel Manager, Hilton Tokyo; Sakae Suzuki, Representative Director and CEO, Social Innovation Partners; Ken Chan, President, Hands On Tokyo; and Aya Higa, Board Member, Hands On Tokyo. The Inspiration Talk was delivered by Shiho Watabe, Chairperson of Shibuya Startups K.K., who shared an empowering message: “The courage to take the first step can change the future.”

Following the judges’ evaluations, the Grand Prize was awarded to “A to More!,” a team whose unique and practical idea aims to promote brain activation and dementia prevention through English learning. The Audience Choice Award went to “Peace Packs,” a team commended for their initiative to deliver menstrual product support packages to women affected by emergencies such as natural disasters.

After the presentations, participants enjoyed a networking session where students, NPO and corporate representatives, and volunteers connected across generations and backgrounds.

The Youth Summit reminds us that young people truly have the power to make a difference, therefore, Hands On Tokyo will continue to support these young changemakers as they take steps toward creating a better and more inclusive world.
