毎年４月に行われるグローバルボランティア月間は、世界中のボランティアを称え、より多くの人がボランティア活動に参加する機会を作るプロジェクトです。地域社会のために行動する皆さんを応援し、小さな行動が大きな変化につながることを広める取り組みです。
今年は、ハンズオン東京20周年を記念して、ヒルトン東京で「グローバルボランティア月間ギャザリング」を開催しました。ギャザリングには、この20年を支えてくださったボランティアの皆さんやサポーターの皆さん、理事、スタッフほか、約60名が参加しました。
当日は、ハンズオン東京創立者のディーバ・ハーシュやコミュニティパートナーの皆さんからのメッセージを通じて、これまでの活動を振り返りながら、皆さんとともに20周年を祝うひとときを過ごしました。会場では久しぶりの再会を喜ぶ姿や、初めて出会った方同士が笑顔で会話を交わす様子があちこちで見られ、コミュニティのあたたかさと広がりを感じる時間となりました。
ボランティアの皆さん一人ひとりの力が、地域社会をより強くし、よりつながりのある世界へと変えていきます。この20周年を節目に、皆さんとともに新たな一歩を重ねながら、つながりの輪をさらに広げていけることを楽しみにしています。 |

Global Volunteer Month, held every April, is a campaign that celebrates volunteers around the world, and creates opportunities for more people to participate in volunteer activities. It is an initiative that supports everyone who gives back to our communities, and promotes how small actions can lead to big changes.
This year, to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Hands On Tokyo, we hosted a Global Volunteer Month Gathering at Hilton Tokyo. Approximately 60 people attended the event, including volunteers and supporters who have been with us throughout the past 20 years, as well as board members and staff.
At the event, we looked back on our journey through messages from Hands On Tokyo founder Deva Hirsch and our community partners, while celebrating this milestone together. Throughout the venue, there were heartwarming scenes of people reconnecting after many years, as well as first-time attendees engaging in lively conversations and building new connections. It was a wonderful opportunity to experience the warmth, strength, and growth of our community.
The contribution of every volunteer helps strengthen our communities and create a more connected world. As we celebrate our 20th anniversary, we look forward to taking new steps together and continuing to expand our circle of connections.

2026年４月のグローバルボランティア月間の期間中、ハンズオン東京は161のプロジェクトを実施しました。のべ968名のボランティアの皆さんにご参加いただき、1,562時間の活動時間をコミュニティパートナーの皆さんにお届けすることができました。また、３月から４月にかけて362名の方が新たにボランティア登録をしてくださいました。どうもありがとうございました！
ボランティアの皆さんの思いや行動が、地域社会のつながりを強め、より良い世界へと変えてく原動力になります。ハンズオン東京はグローバルボランティア月間を通じて、皆さんが変化を生み出す一歩を応援しています。

During Global Volunteer Month in April 2026, Hands On Tokyo carried out 161 projects. A total of 968 volunteers participated, contributing 1,562 hours of service to support our community partners. In addition, 362 new volunteers registered with us between March and April. Thank you so much!
The passion and actions of our volunteers help strengthen community connections and serve as a driving force for creating a better world. Through Global Volunteer Month, Hands On Tokyo is proud to support and encourage each step our volunteers take toward making a positive difference in our communities.
