企業リーダーの皆さまにお集まりいただきました

5月26日、東京アメリカンクラブにて、アニュアルイベント「Hands@Work 2026」を開催いたしました。

ハンズオン東京の活動を支援してくださっている企業パートナーの皆さまは、それぞれの立場から社会課題の解決に取り組み、さまざまな形で社会貢献を実践されています。Hands@Work は、そのような企業リーダーの皆さまにお集まりいただき、お互いの取り組みや想いを共有し、新たなつながりを育む場です。

また、社会課題の最前線に立つゲストスピーカーの皆さまから、現状や実践について直接お話を伺い、一人ひとりがこうした課題をより身近なものとして考えるきっかけとなる場でもあります。

On May 26, Hands On Tokyo held its annual Hands@Work 2026 event at the Tokyo American Club.

Our corporate partners are committed to addressing social issues from their own unique perspectives, contributing to society through a wide range of initiatives. Hands@Work provides an opportunity for these corporate leaders to come together, share their experiences and aspirations, and build new connections with one another.

The event also offers participants the chance to hear directly from guest speakers working on the front lines of social issues, helping to deepen their understanding of the challenges facing our communities and inspiring them to consider how they can contribute to positive change.

当日は、ハンズオン東京とともに活動してくださっている企業・団体から43名の皆さまにご参加いただき、ハンズオン東京の活動紹介に加え、企業パートナーによるボランティア活動事例の紹介、さまざまな社会課題に取り組む２団体によるトークセッションを行いました。

企業活動紹介では、バンク･オブ･アメリカによる河川の清掃や花壇への植栽、ケアパッケージづくりなどの取り組み、チューリッヒ保険会社による障がいのある子どもたちを対象とした映画上映会、株式会社ウェルカムによる LIVES フードトラックプロジェクトへの支援をご紹介いただきました。それぞれの企業が持つ強みを生かした多様な社会貢献活動は、参加者にとって新たな学びや気づきにつながる時間となりました。

This year's event welcomed 43 participants from companies and organizations that support Hands On Tokyo. The program included an introduction to Hands On Tokyo's activities, highlights of volunteer initiatives by our corporate partners, and inspiring stories shared by two nonprofit organizations working to address a range of social issues.

Our corporate partners also gave brief introductions to their volunteer initiatives. Bank of America highlighted its river cleanups, community flower planting, and care package projects, Zurich Insurance Company Ltd. introduced its movie screenings for children with disabilities, and WELCOME Co., Ltd. shared its support for the LIVES Food Truck Project. Their stories showed the many different ways companies can use their strengths to support their communities.

続いて行われたトークセッションでは、NPO法人 両育わーるどの合澤栄美さんに、難病や慢性疾患のある方々の就労をテーマに、働く意欲やスキルがありながらも、制度や職場環境の壁によって十分に力を発揮できない現状についてご紹介いただきました。

また、一人ひとりの状況に合わせた柔軟な働き方を実現することで、多様な人材が活躍できる社会づくりの可能性についてお話しいただきました。

The first guest speaker, Ms. Emi Aizawa of Ryouiku World, spoke about employment opportunities for people living with intractable diseases and chronic illnesses. She highlighted the challenges faced by individuals with the motivation and skills to work but who are prevented from fully applying those skills due to institutional barriers and workplace environments. She also shared how flexible work arrangements tailored to individual needs can help create a society where diverse talents can thrive.

次に、NPO法人 フェアスタートサポートの小金井花さんには、ご自身が里親家庭で育った経験をもとに、社会的養護のもとで育つ若者が就職や自立の際に直面する課題についてご紹介いただきました。

そして、信頼できる大人や企業との出会い、職場体験などの機会が、若者の自信や将来の選択肢につながることについてもお話しいただきました。

The second speaker, Ms. Hana Koganei of Fair Start Support, drew on her own experience of growing up in foster care to discuss the challenges young people in social care often face as they transition into employment and independent living. She emphasized the importance of opportunities to connect with trusted adults and supportive companies, as well as workplace experience, in helping young people build confidence and expand their future possibilities.

イベント後半では、「企業としてどのように社会的インパクトを生み出すことができるか、また、今日の講演からどのような気づきを得たか」をテーマにテーブルディスカッションを実施しました。参加者それぞれが講演を通じて感じたことや、自社で取り組めるアクションについて意見を交わし、最後には各テーブルで話し合った内容を全体で共有しました。

Hands@Work は、社会課題の最前線で活動する方々と企業をつなぎ、対話を通じて新たな協働の可能性を生み出す場です。ご参加いただいた皆さまからは、「多くの学びや刺激を得られました」「企業が社会課題の解決に果たせる役割について、あらためて考えるきっかけになりました」といった声をいただきました。

ハンズオン東京は、今後もこのような対話と交流の機会を大切にし、企業・NPO・地域社会をつなぐ架け橋として、皆さまとともにより良い社会づくりを進めてまいります。

In the second half of the event, participants took part in table discussions on the theme, "How can companies create greater social impact, and what insights did today's speakers inspire?" Participants exchanged ideas about the key messages they had taken from the presentations and explored practical actions their own organizations could take. Each table then shared the highlights of its discussion with the wider group.

Hands@Work serves as a platform that connects companies with organizations working on the front lines of social issues, creating opportunities for dialogue and new collaboration. Participants shared positive feedback, commenting that the event provided valuable learning opportunities and fresh perspectives, while encouraging them to reflect on the important role businesses can play in addressing social challenges.

Hands On Tokyo remains committed to fostering these opportunities for dialogue and collaboration, serving as a bridge between companies, nonprofit organizations, and local communities as we work together to build a better society.
