Day Of Service 2018
ハンズオン東京「デイ・オブ・サービス（DOS）」が、2018年10月21日（日）に東麻布区民協働スペースで行われました。参加ボランティア数は延べ202名、招待したパートナー団体の子ども・アスリート、そして一般のかたも含め、約320名の皆さんにご参加いただきました。ハンズオン東京のパートナーである児童養護施設の子どもたちや障がいのある方々が、ボランティアとしてブースの担当をしてくださり、他の方々と関わることで周りの方の理解や自身の自立に繋げることができました。好天にも恵まれ、多くの方にご来場いただき、多くの方にご来場いただき、ハンズオン東京について知っていただくイベントを実施することができました。イベントの成功のためにご協力くださった皆さま、どうもありがとうございました。
Hands On Tokyo's Day Of Service was held on Sunday, October 21st, 2018, at the Higashi Azabu Kumin Kyodo Space. There were 202 Hands On Tokyo volunteers, and in total about 320 people participated including community participants, children and invited athletes. Two of Hands On Tokyo's most important community partners, a children's home and an NPO for special needs individuals, also attended the event. Everyone enjoyed the various booths around the area, and many were also able to help out with the Day of Service activities as volunteers. It was a special bonding opportunity for the volunteers and special needs students. We were blessed with good weather on the day and many people attending making our event a grand success. We are incredibly grateful for everyone’s attendance.

■KoKo Club
12月1日（土）の視覚障がいのある若者を対象にした英語プログラム「KoKo Club」では、クリスマスのテーマで活動を行い、私たちのミュニティパートナーの皆さんが大好きなホリデーシーズンがスタートしました。生徒たちは、ベルで歌を練習したり、さまざまなテクスチャでのリースを作ったりしました。そしてサンタさんも登場しました。ハンズオン東京とのコラボレーションを続けてくださった皆様、ご協力いただいたボランティア、ココクラブ会員、お母さんありがとうございます。週末には、ブラインドテニスやブラインドジョギングの活動も定期的に行われています。素晴らしい生徒さんたちに、会いにきてください。
■KoKo Club
On Saturday, December 1st, we kicked off our community partners’ favorite holiday season with a Christmas themed English lesson for visually impaired students at Koko Club. The students practiced songs with bells, made their own wreaths with various textures, and had a visit from Santa. Thank you to all the volunteers for your support and the Koko Club members and their moms for continuing this collaboration with Hands On Tokyo. You can meet these incredible students at blind tennis and jogging, which happen regularly on the weekends as well! |

■ありすの杜 スマイルプロジェクト
12月13日（木）の「ありすの杜プロジェクト」ではクリスマスパーティーを開催しました。ヴァイオリニストの吉田美里さんと歌手の小林さんがスペシャルボランティアとして参加してくださいました。また、ハンズオン東京のボランティア手作りのクリスマスオーナメントを皆さんにお配りしました。
■Arisu no Mori Smile Project
We had the Arisu no Mori Project on Thursday, December 13th. The seniors had a great time at our Christmas Party. We had two special guests: Ms Misato, a violin player, and Ms Kobayashi, a singer. The seniors also received Christmas ornaments hand made by our volunteers, which was such a special treat for them! |

■コーポレートプログラム
2018年には、私たちのコミュニティーのさまざまなニーズに合った60プログラムを通して937名の企業ボランティアに参加していただきました。児童養護施設の子どもたちのためのライフスキルプログラム、高齢者の皆さんとの交流会、荒川の清掃、狭山丘陵での森林保全の活動は、私たちが地域社会に良い影響を与えながら、企業ボランティアの皆さんに有意義なボランティアの機会に参加するために提供したプログラムの例です。企業スポンサーの皆さんにご支援、ご参加をいただきましたことに改めて感謝申し上げます。
■Corporate Program
In the year 2018, we were able to develop 60 different programs engaging total of 937 corporate volunteers to have impact in our community needs. Life-skill programs for under-privileged children, activities with senior citizens, Arakawa river cleaning, forest conversation at Sayama hills are some of the examples of the programs we developed to have positive impact in our communities while engaging corporate employees in meaningful volunteering opportunities. We express our deepest gratitude to all our corporate sponsors for your support and involvement. |
