A Taste for Volunteering 2018
恒例のハンズオン東京のファンドレイジング・イベント「テイスト・フォー・ボランティア 2018」が、2018年11月10日（土）に東京アメリカンクラブで行われました。約300名のお客様にお越しいただき、盛大に開催することができました。皆様のお陰をもちまして素晴らしい賞品をオークション、ラッフルに出すことができました。
このイベントでの収益金・寄付金は、ハンズオン東京の定例プロジェクト、東北被災地復興支援、児童養護施設プロジェクト、Youth Impact プログラム、そしてハンズオン東京が活動の輪を広げ、社会に貢献できる機会をさらに増やしていくために、有意義に使わせていただきます。皆様の温かいサポートにより、さらに多くの人々の輪を広げ、強い絆でむすばれますよう、努力を続けて参ります。
今後とも、ご支援、ご協力のほど、どうぞよろしくお願い申し上げます。

On behalf of everyone at Hands On Tokyo, we would like to thank you for your generous donations for our annual fundraising event, “A Taste for Volunteering 2018,” that was held at the Tokyo American Club on Saturday, November 10th. We received great items for the auction and raffle. About 300 guests attended the event.
The funds raised and donations will be used to support our On-going Projects, Tohoku Recovery Assistance and Projects, Children's Home Projects, and Youth Impact Programs. We at Hands On Tokyo are committed to creating more volunteer opportunities for Japanese and non-Japanese volunteers so that, together, we can make a positive difference in our community.

■筑波大学付属視覚特別支援学校 英会話
3月9日（土）に、ハンズオン東京のボランティアは、筑波大学付属視覚特別支援学校の高校生と一緒に英会話プログラムを行いました。 このプログラムでは、生徒さんたちが運営している「国際交流クラブ」で、英会話や国際理解をサポートします。ボランティアの皆さんは、生徒さんたちが企画した英語でのゲームや会話のトピックに合わせて、英語で楽しく交流します。
■English Conversation at the Special Needs Education School for the Visually Impaired, University of Tsukuba
On Saturday, March 9th, the Hands On Tokyo volunteers and high school students from the Special Needs Education School for the Visually Impaired, University of Tsukuba, held an English conversation program. In this program, volunteers hold conversations in English with high school students with vision impairment. The students are part of the “International Exchange Club.” They develop their own English Conversation Program - materials, game ideas, conversation topics, etc. Volunteers follow their lead and socialize with these students in English. |

■ありすの杜 スマイルプロジェクト
3月20日（水）の「ありすの杜 スマイルプロジェクト」では、入居者の皆さんと一緒に、有栖川公園にお散歩に行きました。この日は春らしい暖かい気候のお散歩日和でした。4月のプログラムは、4月17日（水）に開催いたします。
■Arisu no Mori Smile Project
The Arisu no Mori Smile Project was held on Wednesday, March 20th. We all went together to Arisgawa Park. It was a lovely sunny day and spring was in the air! The April program will take place on Wednesday, April 17th. |

■コーポレート・ボランティア・プログラム
アクセンチュア株式会社「英語で遊ぶプロジェクト」
アクセンチュア社の社員ボランティアの皆さんと児童養護施設の小学生たちが、教育とレクリエーションを交えた「英語で遊ぶプロジェクト」を行いました。
1月26日には、皆で池袋サンシャイン水族館を訪問しました。この日は、子どもたちとボランティアがグループになり、さまざまな英語のクイズに挑戦しました。また、3月23日は、野川公園でバーベキューを楽しみながら英語でゲームをし、楽しい時間を過ごしました。
人生の先輩である年上の方たちと一緒に、楽しく英語に触れたこの課外での活動で、子どもたちは英語への興味や理解を自然と深めることができました。
■Corporate Volunteer Program
Accenture Japan Ltd. "English Fun Activity"
As a part of their "English Fun Activity", Accenture employees had educational plus recreational activities in English with elementary schools kids living in a children's home.
In January 26th, they visited the Ikebukuro Sunshine Aquarium. Children and volunteers were divided into groups and interacted in both English and Japanese to solve quizzes together. On March 23rd, they went to Nogawa Park and had a BBQ and English fun games together.
Unlike usual English classes, by participating in activities where the children interact with inspiring adults and learn by being involved in the activities, the children get acquainted with English naturally and understand it better. |
