◆テイスト・フォー・ボランティア 2022
A Taste for Volunteering 2022

恒例のハンズオン東京ファンドレイジング・イベント「テイスト・フォー・ボランティア 2022」を、2022年11月12日（土）、会場・東京アメリカンクラブで開催し、約170名の皆さまにご参加いただきました。テイスト・フォー・ボランティアでの収益は、ハンズオン東京の活動、および運営資金に充てさせていただきます。皆さまからのあたたかいご支援に、心より感謝申し上げます。

Our annual fundraising event "A Taste for Volunteering 2022" was held at Tokyo American Club, on Saturday, November 12th, 2022. About 170 guests were in attendance at the event. All proceeds from “A Taste for Volunteering” will support Hands On Tokyo volunteer activities and operations. Thank you for your support and generosity.

この度、ハンズオン東京は、令和４年度「障害者の生涯学習支援活動奨励者」として、文部科学大臣表彰を受賞いたしました。ハンズオン東京の活動に賛同し、ご支援いただいている皆さま、パートナー団体の皆さま、ボランティアの皆さまのおかげです。心より感謝申し上げます。これからもより良い活動を実施していくために、スタッフ一同、日々取り組んでまいります。今後とも、ハンズオン東京をどうぞよろしくお願いいたします。
Hands On Tokyo received the 2022 Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology's Award for the Lifelong Learning Support Activities for Persons with Disabilities. A big thank you to all of our supporters, partner organizations, and great volunteers. All of us at Hands On Tokyo will continue to work hard to implement even better activities in the future. We appreciate your continued warm support for Hands On Tokyo.

ハンズオン東京では、今年も4月のグローバルボランティア月間に、トークセッション、ワークショップ、荒川クリーニング、スペシャルニーズの方とのジョギングやウォーキング、私たちのパートナー団体の皆さんとのコラボ企画など、さまざまな活動を予定しています。
Hands On Tokyo will have various activities during the Global Volunteer Month in April. Events such as talk session, workshop, cleaning the Arakawa River, and a Jogging and Walking event with special needs athletes, Special Collaborative Program with our partner organizations. etc.

Our new project from the needs of our community

■ウクライナ避難民支援「歩もうプロジェクト」
"AYUMO Project" Supporting the Ukrainian evacuees in Japan

日本でのウクライナ避難民は約2500人、うち約600人が東京都内で暮らしていらっしゃいます。ハンズオン東京では、ボランティア活動を通して、ウクライナ避難民の方の日本語学習や文化活動、自立を目指すための活動などを支援をしています。

There are approximately 2500 Ukrainian evacuees currently living in Japan. Around 600 people live in Tokyo. 
Hands on Tokyo is trying to support people with our volunteer activities. Japanese language classes, family culture activities, job search support and more is coming.

ブラインドジョギング
Achilles International Japan x Hands On Tokyo
Jogging with visually impaired athletes

このプログラムでは、視覚障がいのあるアスリートの伴走の方法を学び、一緒にジョギングやウォーキングを楽しみます。毎月第２日曜日の午前中に代々木公園で開催しています。

In this program, volunteers learn how to guide visually impaired athletes and enjoy jogging or walking together. This program is held on the second Sunday morning of each month at Yoyogi Park.
■シニアサポートプロジェクト（タンゴセラピー） - オンライン
Senior Support Project (Tango Therapy) - Online

高齢者介護施設の方々と一緒に、タンゴのリズムに合わせたエクササイズや交流を楽しむプロジェクトです。タンゴセラピーの講師の方が活動をリードしますので、タンゴの経験が無くても大丈夫です！

Tango therapy instructors will lead this project using a tango music. You will enjoy some exercise and communicate with  people at the elderly care center.  You don't need to any experience of Tango dance!

競技チアプログラム
Special Olympics Japan, Tokyo × Hands On Tokyo
Competitive Cheer Program

スペシャルオリンピックスの競技チアプログラムは、知的障がいのあるアスリートと知的障がいのないパートナー（ボランティア）がチームメイトとなり、一緒にダンスやチアリーディングを楽しみます。ハンズオン関西でもこの活動の実施に向けて動いています
This "Competitive Cheerleading" Program is Special Olympics' unique initiatives in which athletes with intellectual disabilities and partners (volunteers) without intellectual disabilities become teammates, both enjoy dancing and cheerleading together. Hands On KANSAI is expecting the competitive cheer program soon!

機能開発プログラム（MDP）
Special Olympics Japan, Tokyo × Hands On Tokyo
The Motor Development Program (MDP) 

MDP（機能開発プログラム）は、スペシャルオリンピックスのアスリートとコーチの皆さん、そしてハンズオン東京のボランティアの皆さんで、楽しく体を動かすプログラムです。１月21日（土）のプログラムでは、タオル体操、ディズニーリトミック、パチパチマン体操、ペコリナイトのダンスなどで、元気に体を動かしました！
The Motor Development Program (MDP) was held on Saturday, January 21. This program is a fun, physical exercise program with Special Olympics athletes. We enjoyed a Towel Exercise, Disney Rhythmic, the Pachi-Pachi Man Exercise and Pecori Night Dance etc.
■ユース インパクト プログラム - ゴミ拾いプロジェクト@渋谷
Youth Impact Program - Clean up @Shibuya

１月22日（日）に、ハンズオン東京のユースボランティアの皆さんが、ごみ拾いSNSアプリ「ピリカ」使って渋谷の街をきれいにしました。50名のボランティアさんたちの協力で、渋谷センター街もピカピカ。ユースボランティアの皆さん、ありがとうございました！
On Sunday, January 22nd, 50 youth volunteers gathered and helped clean up the streets of Shibuya using the litter collection and social contribution app "Pirika". Thank you to all the volunteers for making Shibuya Center Street shiny and clean!
◆LIVES キッチンカー"OOPEN!"@テンプル大学
LIVES Food Truck "OOPEN!"@Temple University, Japan Campus

障がい者雇用を推進したいという想いから生まれたLIVES キッチンカー「OOPEN!」。障がいのあるスタッフが、ボランティアの皆さんと一緒に、おいしいランチを販売しています。２月と３月の水曜日はテンプル大学ジャパンキャンパスに出店します。テンプル大学学長のウィルソン先生が来店してくださいました！
The concept of the LIVES food truck "OOPEN!" was born with a passionate wish to promote employment for people with disabilities. Our Staff with disabilities, together with volunteers, will be selling delicious lunch meals. We will be at Temple University, Japan Campus on Wednesdays in February and March. Mr. Wilson, President of Temple University, visited us!
◆LIVESプロジェクト「SAMURAI 125」
LIVES Project "SAMURAI 125"

ハンズオン東京のLIVESプロジェクトの一環、SAMURAI 125では、障がい者雇用に関心の高い企業向けに、よりインクルーシブな組織になる働きかけをしています。

１月20日（金）に、参加企業の向井建設株式会社で、ワークショップを開催しました。弱視があるハンズオン東京スタッフがリードし、「明日から弱視のある方が勤務する」想定で、通勤のこと、ロッカーの鍵のこと、PCのことなど、具体的にイメージしました。今後も企業向けのこのようなワークショップを広げていきます！
As part of the LIVES SAMURAI 125 project, Hands On Tokyo is promoting companies to become more inclusive and has been working with organizations interested in hiring people with disabilities.

On Friday, January 20th, we held a workshop at a participating company, Mukai Construction Co. Hands On Tokyo staff with low vision took the lead, and under the assumption that "she will start working tomorrow," we imagined her commuting, locker locks, PCs... in concrete and realistic terms. We will continue to expand these kinds of workshops for corporations!
◆児童養護施設の高校生のためのテーブルマナー教室
Table manner program for high school students living in a children’s home

ザ・ペニンシュラ東京のご厚意で、児童養護施設の高校生のためのテーブルマナー教室を開催しました。参加した高校生たちにとって、これが初めてのホテルでの食事。最初は緊張した雰囲気でしたが、おいしい料理をみんなで楽しみながらいただきました。ザ・ペニンシュラ東京のレストラン、「Peter」の藤島さんが、フォークナイフ、ナフキンの扱い方、お肉の焼き加減、乾杯の仕方、アレルギーの伝え方などを丁寧に教えてくれました。この経験は将来独立してテーブルマナーを求められたときにきっと役に立ちます！
The Peninsula Tokyo kindly hosted a table manner program for high school students living in a children’s home. It was the first time for all of them to dine at a hotel. They were tense at first, but happily finished all delicious dishes. Mr. Fujishima of "Peter" restaurant at The Peninsula Tokyo carefully taught them how to handle fork and knives and napkins, how to tell meat preference, how to make a toast, and how to communicate allergies. We are sure this will be useful when they become independent! 
◆ハンズオン関西 コーポレートボランティアプログラム - 箕面の山クリーンハイク
Hands On Kansai Corporate Volunteer Program - Clean hike at Mt. Minoh

２月７日（火）に、関西の企業ボランティアの皆さんと児童養護施設の子どもたちが、大阪・箕面の山でクリーンハイク（清掃ハイキング）の活動をしました。集めたゴミは6.3キロ！　お疲れさまでした！

On Tuesday, February 7th, our corporate volunteers in Kansai and children from a children's home had a clean hike at Mt. Minoh, Osaka. We collected 6.3 kg of trash!
