Co-create the Ultimate Assistance Robot with People with Disability
７月９日（日）、ハンズオン東京主催の「LIVES x Tech アイデアソン 2023」が、サイボウズ株式会社東京オフィスにて開催され、約60名の皆さんにご参加いただきました。３回目の開催となる今回のテーマは「障がい当事者と一緒に本当に必要なお助けロボットを考えよう」。

インスピレーショントークは、ロボティクス、AIを融合した「CanguRo」を開発した千葉工業大学 未来ロボット技術研究センター所長の古田貴之氏と、視力に代わる感覚デバイス「SYN＋」など視覚障がい者向けのサポートデバイスを複数開発しているRaise the Flag. 創業者の中村猛氏にお話しいただきました。

グループディスカッションでは、普段あまり意識することのない「ロボット」×「障がい者」について、さまざまな意見を交換し、各グループでのアイデアを発表していただきました。

審査員長は川田テクノロジーズ株式会社 川田忠裕氏、審査員は東京大学先端科学技術研究センター 並木重宏氏、Raise the Flag. 中村猛氏。優勝したアイデアは、駅での困りごとを助けてくれるキリン型のパーソナルロボット「キリンくん」でした。

On Sunday, July 9, the LIVES x Tech Ideathon 2023, organized by Hands On Tokyo, was held at Cybozu, Inc. Tokyo office, and was attended by about 60 people. This was the third time and the theme of this year's event was "Co-create the Ultimate Assistance Robot with people with disabilities." 

Inspirational talk speakers are Takayuki Furuta, General Manager of Future Robotic Technology Center (fuRo), Chiba Institute of Technology, who developed CanguRo, a robotics and AI fusion device, and Takeshi Nakamura, Founder of Raise the Flag Inc., who has developed several assistive devices for the visually impaired, including SYN+, a sensory device that replaces sight.

In the group discussion, we explored the topic of "robots" and "people with disabilities," something we may not always think about, with other group members, and each group presented their ideas.

The panel of judges was chaired by Mr. Tadahiro Kawada, Kawada Technologies, Inc., and the members of the judging panel were Mr. Shigehiro Namiki, Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology, the University of Tokyo, and Mr. Takeshi Nakamura, Raise the Flag. The winning idea was "Kirin-kun," a giraffe-shaped personal robot that helps people in need at train stations.

ブラインドジョギング
Jogging for visually impaired athletes

ブラインドジョギングの活動では、一緒にジョギングやウォーキングをするだけでなく、たくさんおしゃべりをして楽しみます。この日はガイドとして２人の新しいボランティアが参加してくださいました。

During the jogging for visually impaired athletes activity, we enjoy not only jogging or walking together, but also talking and communicating a lot. This time we had two new volunteer guides.
母子生活支援施設でのヨガ教室プロジェクト
Yoga lesson project at a mothers’ shelter

企業ボランティアの皆さんと母子生活支援施設に入所するお母さんたちが一緒にヨガを楽しみました。Tina先生に教えていただきながら色々なポーズで体を伸ばし、最後はゆったりとした空間でリラックス。

Yoga lesson with corporate volunteers and mothers in a mothers’ shelter. Ms. Tina, an yoga instructor led us to make yoga poses and body stretch. Relaxing and peaceful.
お散歩ボランティアプロジェクト
Strolling with Kids volunteer project

児童養護施設で暮らす2～5歳の子どもたちと一緒にお散歩に行き、公園で遊ぶ活動を実施しました。この日はお天気も良く、子どもたちはボランティアの皆さんと一緒に元気いっぱい遊び、お弁当を食べて楽しい時間を過ごしました。この活動は大阪で毎月１回、行う予定です。

We went for a walk with children aged two to five living in children's home and played together in the park. They were so cheerful and our volunteers enjoyed playing and eating lunch together. It will be monthly activity in Osaka.
高齢者施設でのランチ＆英会話レッスンプロジェクト
Lunch & English Conversation Lesson Project at a Senior Home

グリル機を持ち込んで、パニーニを作って高齢者の皆さんに振舞いました。パニーニを食べるのは初めての方もいましたが、皆さんとても美味しいと喜んでいただきました。ランチの後は、ランチにまつわる単語のレッスン！とても和やかで楽しい時間でした！

Our volunteer brought a grill machine and made Panini sandwiches for seniors. Some seniors had a Panini for the first time but they all enjoyed the lunch. We had an English lesson after the lunch and learned the words related to “lunch”.
