Over the past 8-years, together with all of you we have successfully worked to lift Hands on Tokyo to a new level.  Despite the set-back we all experienced with COVID, we have overseen an extortionary era of growth and development as we have professionalized and expanded the role of Hands On Tokyo.  I am proud of what we have accomplished and know that Hands On Tokyo is today stable, strong, and enduring in its capabilities and leadership.  I step down as the board chair after what was a “turn-around and growth” era and depart with a sense of confidence in the future of Hands On Tokyo.  We have made a difference to better the society we live in. I will continue to be an active supporter of Hands on Tokyo, working with our Advisory Council and as a volunteer.  

I am excited to announce that Ken Chan will become our next Board Chair.  I first met him as a fellow Board member in 2015.  He knows Hands On Tokyo, our leaders, and our history well.  Since the first LIVES Tokyo event, Ken Chan has focused his support on LIVES and has been critical to our efforts to expand and connect LIVES to leading companies and individuals.  He is a part of our Hands On Community; and I am happy that Ken will succeed me in the role of Board Chair.

この８年の間、皆さまと共にハンズオン東京を新たなレベルへと引き上げることに成功しました。 新型コロナウイルスという逆風に直面しながらも、私たちはハンズオン東京の役割を専門化し、拡大させながら、成長と発展の時代を切り拓いてきました。私は、私たちが成し遂げてきたことを誇りに思うと同時に、ハンズオン東京が、その能力とリーダーシップにおいて常にぶれることなく、力強い存在であり続けることを確信しています。私はハンズオン東京の「転換と成長」の時代を経て、今は未来に確固たる自信を抱き、代表理事を退任いたします。私たちは、私たちが生活する社会をより良くするために変化をもたらしてきました。私はこれからもハンズオン東京の熱心なサポーターとして、顧問、ボランティアとして協力していきます。

ここで嬉しいお知らせをさせていただきます。後任にはケン・チャン氏が就任する予定です。私は彼とは2015年に理事のメンバーとして初めて出会いました。彼はハンズオン東京について、そして私たちのリーダーや歴史について熟知しています。LIVESプロジェクトのイベント「LIVES TOKYO」の立ち上げ以来、ケンはLIVESプロジェクトを中心にサポートしており、プロジェクトを企業や個人と結びつける私たちの取り組みに欠かせない存在です。私は、ハンズオン東京のコミュニティで中心的な存在であるケンが、私の後を継いで代表理事を務めてくれることを嬉しく思います。
