◇ハンズオン東京プロジェクトレポートダイジェスト
　Hands On Tokyo Project Report Digest

	■東北プロジェクト 12月12～13日、アメリカン・スクール・イン・ジャパンのボーイスカウト「Troop 5」のボランティアと一緒に、2015年最後の東北プロジェクトを開催しました。初日は宮城県山元町で農業を営んでいる斉藤さんと一緒に、ナス畑の枯れた苗や留め具を取り外すなど、次の収穫シーズンに向けた準備のお手伝いをしました。２日目は山元町の仮設住宅を訪れ、ハンズオン東京カフェの運営をしました。カフェでは、ホットドッグ、スープ、デザートなどを提供し、クリスマスの特別行事として、クッキーデコレーションをしました。ボーイスカウトのご両親が、この日のために焼いてくださったクッキーに、アイシングやスプリンクルで、楽しくデコレーション。そして、アメリカン・エキスプレス・ジャパン株式会社の皆さんが作ってくださった素敵なクリスマスリースを、仮設にお住まいの方にプレゼントしました。 ■Tohoku Project On December 12th - 13th, with volunteers from American School in Japan Boy Scout "Troop 5", we had the last Tohoku project for 2015. On the first day, we worked together with a local farmer, Mr. Saito-san, to clear dead plants and remove plastic clips in an eggplant field to help prepare for the next harvest season. On the 2nd day, we went to a temporary housing site in Yamamoto-cho, Miyagi Prefecture. We set up a Hands On Tokyo cafe there and served hotdogs, soup, desserts and so forth. As for the special activity for Christmas, we used icing and sprinkles to decorate cookies that were baked by all the scouts' parents. We also delivered Christmas gifts to the residents. Christmas wreaths that were beautifully made by employees from American Express International, Inc.
	■ありすの杜スマイルプロジェクト 12月16日（水）、ハンズオン東京のボランティアは、特別養護老人ホーム「ありすの杜」でクリスマスパーティーを開催しました。パーティーは大盛況！　バイオリニストの吉田美里さんが「浜辺の歌」、「ふるさと」やクリスマスソングを演奏してくれました。ホームの方は昔を突然思い出したように歌いだしました。ありすの杜のスタッフで、台湾出身の元シンガー、Fungさんは演歌を歌ってくれました。そして、ハンズオン東京のボランティアのひとりが、おいしいケーキを焼いてきてくださり、みんなでいただきました。とても楽しい、素晴らしい時間でした！ ■Arisu no Mori Smile Project On Wednesday, December 16th, Hands On Tokyo Volunteers and the Arisunomori senior home residents had a wonderful Christmas party. The party was very exciting! Our violinist, Misato Yoshida-san, performed for us, playing Japanese songs such as "Hamabe-no-uta" and "Furusato" and Christmas songs. Yoshida-san's violin's melodies reminded the residents of past times, getting them got to sing along with her Violin. Also, former Taiwan singer, Fung-san, a staff member of Arisunomori, performed for us, singing "Enka". We also enjoyed delicious hand made cakes made by one of the Hands On Tokyo Volunteers. We all had a really great time!
	■済生会乳児院ガーデニング＆お庭のメンテナンスプロジェクト 12月18日（金）の済生会乳児院「ガーデニング＆お庭のメンテナンスプロジェクト」では、子どもたちが遊ぶ庭や施設のまわりのおそうじをしました。参加してくださった皆さん、今年もお世話になり、ありがとうございました！　次回の開催は2016年１月15日（金）です。来年もよろしくお願いします！ ■Gardening and Ground Maintenance Project for Infants’ Home Hands On Tokyo held a "Gardening and Ground Maintenance Project" at Saiseikai Infants' Home, on Friday, December 18th. We maintained the garden and around the facility. Thank you all for participating in the project! The next session will be held on Friday, January 15th, 2016. See you then!
	■済生会乳児院飾り付けプロジェクトハンズオン東京のボランティアたちは、済生会乳児院で生活する子どもたちの12月のバースデーパーティーのお手伝いをしました。今回のテーマは "Happy Holidays"。雪だるま、もみの木、雪の結晶などをディスプレイしました！ ■Decorating Project at Infants’ Home Hands On Tokyo volunteers helped to have a great December birthday at the Saiseikai Infants’ Home. This event's theme was "Happy Holidays". We set up the decoration board with themes such as snowmen, fir trees and snowflakes!

　Corporate Project Report Digest 　

	■ブルームバーグL.P.：児童養護施設に住む子どものニュースキャスター体験 12月2日、14名の子どもがブルームバーグ社に招待され、ニュースキャスター体験をしました。ボランティアに記事作りを手伝ってもらい、実際にカメラの前でニュースを読み上げました。家族と一緒に住むことができず、児童養護施設で暮らしている子どもたちにとって、とても貴重な機会となりました。 ■Bloomberg L.P.: Newscaster Experience for Underprivileged Children On December 2nd, 14 children were invited to Bloomberg and experienced being newscasters. Bloomberg volunteers helped the children prepare a news article, which they read aloud in front of a real news camera. This was a special occasion for the children, who are unable to live with their families and live in group homes.
	■バークレイズ証券：児童養護施設に住む子どものための為替ゲーム 12月11日、児童養護施設に住む22名の子どもがバークレイズ社を訪れ、為替について学びました。ボランティアが中国、アメリカ、イギリスの３カ国の文化や地理、通貨について紹介した後、日本円を元、米ドル、ポンドに両替するゲームに参加しました。 ■Barclays Securities: Teaching Foreign Currency to Underprivileged Children On December 11th, 19 children from 3 children's homes were invited to Barclays to learn about foreign currency. After learning about the culture, food, geography and currency of China, the US and the UK from Barclays volunteers, the children participated in a game where they exchanged yuan, dollars and pounds for Japanese yen.
	■ザ・ペニンシュラ東京：児童養護施設に住む子どものためのお菓子の家 12月13日、ザ・ペニンシュラ東京に於いて、児童養護施設に住む子どものためのジンジャーブレッドハウスのデコレーションクラスを行いました。このクラスには５つの児童養護施設から25名の子どもたちが参加し、ボランティアとともに、想像力を最大限に活かして大きなお菓子の家をデコレーションしました。 ■The Peninsula Tokyo: Gingerbread Houses for Underprivileged Children On December 13th, 25 children from 5 homes were invited to The Peninsula Tokyo to make gingerbread houses. The children's creativity exploded as they decorated the massive gingerbread houses with the volunteers.

ハンズオン東京のウェブサイトはログインしていただくとその年の活動時間の合計が右上に表示されます。この表示はシステムの都合上、毎年1月1日にリセットされゼロに戻りますので、年をまたいでの証明書が必要な場合はご注意ください。リセットされる前にページのスクリーンショットをとっておいていただきますよう、お願いいたします。証明書の発行には必ず活動時間のスクリーンショットが必要です。

When you log onto the Hands On Tokyo website, your volunteer hours for the year will appear on the top-right corner of the page. This number is reset back to “0” every year on January 1st. If you require verification of your volunteer hours, please make sure to keep a screen shot of the page before the numbers are reset. We will need a screenshot of your volunteer hours in order to issue a certificate.
