■ありすの杜スマイルプロジェクト

４月５日（水）、特別養護老人ホームありすの杜で「ありすの杜スマイルプロジェクト」を開催しました。今回、私たちはホームにお住まいの皆さんと一緒に有栖川公園へお花見に行きました。公園の桜はとても美しく、お花見日和でなによりでした。

■Arisu no Mori Smile Project

On Wednesday, April 5th, Hands On Tokyo held an Arisu no Mori Smile Project at a special elderly nursing home, Arisu no Mori. This time we went to Arisugawa Park together for hanami (cherry blossom viewing). The cherry blossoms in the park were so beautiful! We all had a really great time!

■児童養護施設クリスマス・ヴィレッジ
お花見プロジェクト

４月16日（日）、ハンズオン東京のボランティアは、児童養護施設クリスマス・ヴィレッジの子どもたちと一緒に、お花見プロジェクトを開催しました。子どもたちと一緒に昼食を食べたり、ゲームをしたりして楽しい時間を過ごしました。このプロジェクトが子どもたちの素敵な春の思い出になればうれしいです。（ランチはコストコホールセールジャパン株式会社からご提供いただきました。ありがとうございました！）

■Cherry-Blossom Viewing Project with the Christmas Village Children's Home

On Sunday, April 16th, Hands On Tokyo held a Cherry-Blossom Viewing Project with the Christmas Village Children's Home. Our volunteers and the children enjoyed having lunch and playing games together. We hope this project helped the children create some great spring-time memories. (Lunch was provided by Costco Wholesale Japan, Ltd. Thank you for the support!)

■済生会乳児院ガーデニング＆お庭のメンテナンスプロジェクト

4月21日（金）の済生会乳児院ガーデニング＆お庭のメンテナンスプロジェクトでは、子どもたちがサツマイモとトマトを植える畑の準備をしました。収穫のシーズンが楽しみです。

■Gardening and Ground Maintenance Project for Infants’ Home

Hands On Tokyo held a "Gardening and Ground maintenance project" at Saiseikai Infants' Home, on Friday, April 21st. This time we prepared a vegetable garden, so that the kids will be able to plant sweet potatoes and tomatoes there. We are looking forward to the harvest season.

■Koko Club

４月15日（土）に「Koko Club」（視覚障がいのある方の英会話）のプログラムを行いました。今回はイースターのテーマで、いろいろなゲームをしたり、リース作りをしたりました。５月は20日（土）、６月は17日（土）に開催の予定です。ぜひ、ご参加ください！

■Koko Club

On Saturday, April 15th, Hands On Tokyo had the "Koko Club", an English Conversation Class for the visually impaired. This event's theme was Easter, we played some games and made Easter wreaths. The next session will be held on Saturday, May 20th. The June program will take place Saturday, 17th. If you are available, please join us!

どのようなきっかけでボランティアを始めましたか？
「休日の時間を有意義に過ごせる何かを探しているとき、Hands On TokyoのMDPプログラムを見つけて参加してみました」

How did you start volunteering?
"I joined Hands On Tokyo over the holidays when I was looking for a meaningful project to pass my time with. I found the Motor Development Program (MDP) and I decided to join."

一番印象に残っているボランティア活動は何ですか？
「MDPプログラム内での、スペシャルオリンピックスのスのEKSデー。普段参加されていない人々（親子、ボランティアなど）が大勢参加されてとても楽しく活動できました」

What volunteering experience stuck with you the most and why?
"One of my favorite memories at Hands On Tokyo was the MDP Special Olympics EKS Day. We had many attendees that day, who were also new to the program (including parents and volunteers). It was a lot of fun to see many new faces and more participation."

ボランティア活動をしていくことで将来どのようになりたいですか？
「ボランティアを必要をする方々の力になりつつ、自分自身も楽しく活動できるれば良いなと思います」

What do you hope to accomplish through volunteering?
"I hope to make volunteers fun for others and also help participants and volunteers find strength and confidence in themselves."
