ハンズオン東京が主催する「LIVES TOKYO 2017」が、９月10日（日）に東京ミッドタウンで行われました。当日は3,000名以上のかたにご来場いただき、皆さんと一緒に素晴らしい１日を過ごすことがでしました。イベント成功のためにご尽力くださった皆さま、どうもありがとうございました！
Hands On Tokyo organized “LIVES TOKYO 2017” on Sunday, September 10, 2017, at Tokyo Midtown. There were over 3,000 participants. Thank you for all your help ensuring our event was a great success!
「LIVES TOKYO 2017」では、障がい者の「はたらく・たべる・わらう」の現状の理解と今後について、障がい福祉分野で精力的に活躍されている障がい者の方や、先端的な技術でバリアを補う技術者、障がい者を雇用する経営者の皆さんによるケーススタディの紹介やパネルディスカッションを行いました。
The actual and more preferable situations for people with disabilities were shared and discussed in case studies and panel discussions. The speakers ranged from people with disabilities who are actively and positively working, technical engineers who want to support people with disabilities, and companies which inclusively employ people with disabilities.
また、リオ・パラリンピックの閉会式にも出演したパフォーマーによるエンターテインメントステージ、障がい者アーティストによる絵画展示、障がい者と健常者が運営するカフェやパラスポーツ体験・選手講演、そして、こどもの城児童合唱団による合唱も行われました。
Entertainment included a dance routine by a group which performed at the Rio Paralympics, an art exhibition with outstanding artworks by artists with disabilities, a cafe operated by people with and without disabilities, Paralympic sports, a talk show by Paralympians and a concert by Kodomonoshiro Children Choir.
「LIVES TOKYO 2017」の制作・PRは、障がい者と健常者で構成された LIVES TOKYO チームが担当。共通の目標を達成するために、メンバーそれぞれが能力を活かし、スキルと個性を発揮しました。そして、このイベント後に、障がいを持つメンバーたちの企業・団体への就職が決まりました！
Planning and execution of this event was done by the LIVES TOKYO Team consisting of members with and without disabilities. Special skills and individual strengths were highlighted to accomplish a common goal. It resulted in members with disabilities being recruited for other jobs after the event!
