A Taste for Volunteering 2017
毎年恒例のハンズオン東京のファンドレイジング・イベント「テイスト・フォー・ボランティア 2017」が、2017年11月4日（土）に東京アメリカンクラブで行われました。280名ほどのお客様にお越しいただき、盛大に開催することができました。皆様のお陰をもちまして300近い素晴らしい賞品を、ライブオークション、サイレントオークション、ラッフルに出すことができました。
この収益金は、東京でのこれからのプロジェクトや定例プロジェクト、Youth Impact プログラム、および被災地支援を継続するため、そして今後もハンズオン東京の活動の輪を広げ社会に貢献できる機会をさらに増やしていくために、有意義に使わせていただきます。皆様の温かいお力添えがさらに多くの人々の輪を広げ、より強い絆でむすばれていきますように、努力を続けて参りたいと存じます。
今後とも、ご支援、ご協力のほど、どうぞよろしくお願い申し上げます。

On behalf of everyone at Hands On Tokyo, we would like to thank you for your generous donations for our annual fundraising event, “A Taste for Volunteering 2017,” that was held at the Tokyo American Club on Saturday, November 4th. We received over 300 items for the live auction, silent auction and raffle. More than 280 guests attended the event.
The funds raised will be used to support new and on-going projects, Youth Impact Programs in Tokyo as well as Tohoku relief projects. We at Hands On Tokyo are committed to creating more volunteer opportunities for Japanese and non-Japanese volunteers so that, together, we can make a positive difference in our community.

■ワンデスク ファウンデーション：児童養護施設での施設の修理プロジェクト
20名のワンデスク ファウンデーションのボランティアの皆さんが、ホリデーを利用したボランティア活動をするために、アメリカから日本にいらっしゃいました。ボランティアの皆さんは、４日間の活動で施設の修理をしただけでなく、他の人を思いやるという暖かい気持ちを子どもたちに伝えてくれました。ワンデスク ファウンデーションのボランティアの皆さんをお迎えできたことを誇りに思います。本当にありがとうございました！
■One Desk Foundation: Repaired the Facility of the Children's Homes
We are honored to have 20 One Desk Foundation volunteers who came from the U.S. to spend their holiday volunteering in Japan. Over four days they not only repaired children's homes facilities but they also inspired the children with their passion for taking care of others. We express heartfelt gratitude to all the One Desk Foundation volunteers. Thank you so much!! |

■ありすの杜 スマイルプロジェクト
12月18日（月）の特別養護老人ホーム「ありすの杜スマイルプロジェクト」ではクリスマスパーティーを開催しました。島根県在住のヴァイオリニストの吉田美里さんの演奏に合わせてクリスマスソングを歌ったりと大変盛り上がりました。次回は2月21日（水）に開催します。
■Arisu no Mori Smile Project
On Monday, December 18th, Hands On Tokyo Volunteers and the Arisunomori Senior Home residents had a wonderful Christmas party. Our violinist, Misato Yoshida-san, performed for us, playing Christmas songs while we sang along. We had a great time! The next session will take place on Wednesday, February 21st. |

■白寿荘プロジェクト
今年１月の「白寿荘プロジェクト」での写真です。この活動では白寿荘に入居されている方たちと一緒にビーズ作りやゲームなど様々な活動を楽しみます。ご家族での参加や小さいお子様の参加も大歓迎です。次回の開催は2月17日（土）です。
■Hakujuso Senior Home Project
On the Hakujuso Senior Home Project, we work with senior citizens living at Hakujuso Senior Home by providing a fun and interesting experience for the senior citizens through interaction with volunteers of all ages and nationalities. The next session will be held on Saturday, February 17th. |
